Bridal Makeup for Mature Brides in Glasgow & Lanarkshire

As a more mature bride do you ever feel slightly overwhelmed when looking for wedding makeup inspiration?

Social media and wedding websites can feel saturated with images of younger brides and finding bridal makeup on women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond isn’t always quite as easy.

I’m here to tell you that I see you.

I’ve had the privilege of creating wedding makeup for women of all ages for over 12 years. Some are getting married for the first time in their 40s or 50s. Some are second time brides and others are simply looking for a makeup artist who understands how to work beautifully with older or more mature skin.

Whatever brought you to this point, none of it matters.

You’re a bride and you deserve to feel absolutely incredible.

Wedding makeup for mature skin

Creating beautiful makeup for older skin starts long before foundation is applied.

Skin preparation is incredibly important. Hydration helps give mature skin that fresh healthy glow and creates a beautiful base for your wedding makeup. I use a carefully chosen combination of hydrating serum spray followed by a deeply moisturising skincare product before applying your foundation.

Then comes something equally important, knowing when not to add more.

Heavy foundation and too much concealer can draw attention to texture and fine lines rather than soften them. Whether I’m applying bridal makeup to someone in their 40s, 50s, 60s or beyond I use just enough product to create a seamless, polished finish while still allowing your skin to look like skin.

The result is radiant bridal makeup that looks beautiful in person and photographs beautifully from every angle.

Makeup will naturally settle slightly into expression lines throughout the day and that’s completely normal at any age. If it’s something you’re concerned about you can take a small compact powder with you for an occasional touch up.

Although hopefully you’ll be far too busy enjoying your wedding and feeling beautiful to even think about it!

Bridal makeup for brides over 40, 50 and beyond

If you’ve been searching online for wedding makeup for brides over 40, bridal makeup for women over 50 or simply inspiration for an older bride and haven’t seen many women who look like you, please don’t feel that bridal makeup has an age limit.

It absolutely doesn’t.

My goal isn’t to make you look like somebody else or cover every sign of ageing.

It’s to make you look like you but elevated.

Beautiful skin. Brighter eyes. Features subtly enhanced. A fresh, flattering and sophisticated bridal look that feels completely personal to you.

You don’t need to follow the latest makeup trend simply because you’re getting married.

Together we’ll create something that works beautifully for your skin, your features, your personal style and the way you want to look on your wedding day.

Second or third wedding? Your makeup should still feel every bit as special

I also work with many women getting married for the second or third time.

Being a second time bride doesn’t mean your wedding should feel any less exciting and it certainly doesn’t mean your bridal makeup should be understated unless that’s genuinely what you want.

Whether this is your first wedding at 50 or your third wedding at 60, you’re still the bride.

A bridal makeup artist you can rely on

Your wedding makeup matters but so does the experience you have in the months leading up to your wedding.

I pride myself on excellent communication. I don’t believe any bride should be left waiting days and days for a response or feel that she has to chase a wedding supplier when she has a question.

From your first enquiry through to your wedding morning I want you to feel looked after, listened to and confident that your makeup is in experienced hands.

So if you’ve been searching for a bridal makeup artist for mature skin in Glasgow, wedding makeup for older brides in Lanarkshire, or an experienced makeup artist for a bride over 40 or 50 please feel free to get in touch.

I’d love to hear about your wedding and the kind of makeup that makes you feel beautiful.
