Hi, I’m Natalie Grace and I am a Bridal Makeup specialist with 11 years experience.
I found my love of makeup at 9 years old when my mum took me to a MAC cosmetics counter and let me try on a bright fuschia pink lipstick. I IMMEDIATELY felt so pretty and I was smiling ear to ear.
I understood from a very young age that it’s not just the makeup itself, but it’s the CONFIDENCE it gives us.
I was that girl who when getting ready with friends for a night out, wouldn’t have a cocktail in her hand but instead a makeup brush doing all their makeups for £5 to cover my products.
I worked at Benefit Cosmetics to give me the counter experience required to finally get into MAC cosmetics when I was 27 years old.
I was sent to Manchester for 5 intense days of makeup training where I still use many of the techniques I learned then today. I realised quickly I wanted to work for myself solely doing makeup and not the sales side.
Once I built my portfolio and finally took the leap into self employment at 29 years old my career exploded faster than I could keep up.
My diary is booked up to 2 years in advance and my style naturally flowed into bridal makeup.
Why? because I don’t pay attention to what’s on trend. Every woman’s face is different and will not always suit what the trend is. Bridal makeup is and should be TIMELESS, CLASSY and elegant.
Creating these looks for my brides gives me immeasurable satisfaction. It is my makeup style that comes naturally but still glamorous of course!
Not long after leaving MAC I saved up and went to the country’s most sought after bridal makeup artists at the time and learned 1-1 from them and quickly found my own style.
I remember like it was yesterday one of my idols as a makeup artist told me she teaches dozens of artists every month and sees no improvement in their work but how she INSTANTLY saw the quality of my work increase as soon as I had one lesson.
It gave me the tools and fast track knowledge to get to where I want to be which is where I am now.
An extremely passionate, natural makeup artist with a drive to give every bride the makeup look of her dreams, to help her relax knowing her makeup is taken care of and always strive for quick communication to put my clients at ease.
Working with brides is more than just the makeup. It’s all of the above. Providing a service that is high end, consistent and constantly improved upon.
I like to get to know my brides at their trial and bridal facials as it helps me understand what look you might feel comfortable in and it makes it even more fun on the day when we’ve spent a little time together.
