The Redhurst has a decent amount of workable space for bridal hair and makeup whether you’re getting ready in one of the hotel rooms or in the Honeymoon Suite.
There is a fold out table available that you can request from the hotel, which makes a huge difference for your bridal makeup artist and gives your hairstylist a little more room to work too.
The hotel rooms also have windows which provide excellent natural light something I always appreciate as a bridal makeup artist! One thing I would recommend during the warmer summer months however, is bringing or requesting a fan. The rooms can become very warm when you have a full bridal party, hairstylists and makeup artists all getting ready together.

The Honeymoon Suite at The Redhurst Hotel has plenty of space for your bridal party to get ready.
From a makeup artist’s point of view, the lighting can be a little trickier than in the hotel rooms but that’s never a problem for me.
I always come prepared and find the best possible setup for your makeup.
If you’re getting ready in a hotel room first I recommend keeping the brown desk underneath the television completely clear.
This gives your bridal hair and makeup team a ready made space to set up as soon as we arrive rather than having to move belongings around on the morning.
If another nearby hotel room is available with a suitable desk using this can also work. I just need to remain close enough to your bridal party to communicate about timings and who is next in my makeup chair. I’m very punctual and plan my wedding mornings carefully so everything keeps moving smoothly.
Moving to the Honeymoon Suite? One Important Tip
If you’re planning to move from your hotel room to the Honeymoon Suite during the morning let your bridal makeup artist know in advance.
Ideally I want to have your makeup finished before you move. A professional bridal makeup kit takes time to unpack and organise so packing everything away then moving rooms and setting it all up again does unnecessarily eat into your wedding morning.
And on a wedding morning the one thing we never want to lose is time.
